For Every Thing There Is A Season

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace

Good Morning:)

For some reason, this passage of scripture immediately came to mind when I sat down with my coffee to write a quick travel post. There is a reason that this trip is occurring earlier this year than the past two trip. There is a reason for each and every person that is going. There is a reason for my scrambled mind at the moment. There is a reason I sit here and look around me and wonder, do you know Jesus? There is a reason the man is talking loudly on the phone right next to me; along with the crying baby that appears to be my first flight. There is a reason for every season and every thing that occurs under heaven.

What is my reason? Why am I about to embark on this trip yet again? Do I miss the people? Do I miss the food? Do I really want to spend the next day or so in an airport or in a plane? Am I missing the missionary family? Am I ready for more culture shock? Am I ready to... Do I ... Wait there it is!!! Did you notice what I've just done?? How many times did I just say I? Wow!!! For every thing there is a season and this season (along with most others) is not about me but as humans we are quick to fall into that selfish mentality.

While I have an answer for each of those questions, it's not about me in this trip. It's about what God has planned and has ordained for this trip. Yes I am excited and I can't wait to see friends that I have made. However I really can't wait to see what God is going to do!!! To see the darkness the Devil has placed over their eyes fall down at the feet of Grace. To talk to and encourage the missionary family. To see lives changed in every city we visit and every church to which we minister. To interact and make an impact in every adult and child that we meet whether they speak German, English, Polish etc. I'm expecting, anticipating a move of God on this trip.

I'm sitting at Cincinnati about to board the plane to Newark New Jersey and won't leave there until 5:45. I can't promise to post everyday. I can't promise to have a detailed thought or post like this. I can promise that when I can I'll update you all. Prayers are appreciated.

Saying bye to Mom

We said goodbye and both headed for coffee:)

Love,

Deidre Faye
