Home!!
I made it safely home after a very long, challenging day of airports, security, baggage checks, passport checks, flight changes, flight delays, plane issues etc. Anywho made it home and woke up wide awake at 11. I'm tired but awake thing going that it's time for church. Can't wait to see everybody and start packing for school. I'll be at church tonight too!! Hopefully all my posts will come up soon.
Dresden on Monday Night
We are currently flying over Canada.... Slow close tombng home but SO far from Germany!!! Mondaynafternoon and evening we went to Dresden.. Let me preface this by saying its gorgeous!!!! I don't know names of everything and like I said in the post about Colditz castle Jonathan has more pictures since my all my devices were quickly filling up with pictures and videos. Speaking of videos once I figure out how to add them I have a whole bunch of videos too!! Now back to Dresden.
Have I mentioned that Dresden is absolutely stunning day or night???
This church was bombed by the US. The dark spots/stone is the original and the whiter stone is the remodeling. Bro. Presley said that when he came to Germany 15 years ago this church was still a pile of rubble because the communists wouldn't allow the Germans to rebuild until roughly 10 years ago.
And the inside:
We were out in front of this opera house I said outloud to Bro. Ritchie I sure wish there were some lights on around the building. And wouldn't you know two seconds later....
See!! Dresden was breath taking. Afterwards we went back and packed and got up and went to the airport. Only about an hour left on this flight. Then only one more.

Sight Seeing!!!
This was an amazing, fun filled day that I'll never forget!!!! We went to visit the Colditz Castle and we went and explored Dresden!!! After seeing the beauty of Dresden it was hard for me to want to come home and I'll think you'll understand after seeing the pictures. No really if I could have stayed longer I don't think I would have hesitated. Nope I'm pretty sure I would have just stayed longer!!!! We are flying currently flying over Amsterdam and I already miss everybody in Hoyeswerda. Anywho back to the outstanding sight seeing we experienced yesterday.
One officer tried to escape i. One of these.... He got placed upside down and got caught trying to get out of the box.
Colditz Castle:
Now that you've seen the outside-- how about the inside!!! Any guesses on what the castle was used for?? Hmmm look at the pictures to find out:)
Hmmm I do believe that this is the answer!!!! Well kind of.... The reason this camp is well known are the stories of the escapes and attempted escapes by the prisoners.
Example of a prisoners room:
Now it's time for stories and facts!!!
We were unable to take a guided tour or extended tour throughout all the castle but we did have Jonathan!! He and his sister Janine were the reason we knew about this castle. Jonathan write a paper all about Coldvitz so really we had our own personal tour guide. I should have more pictures of the castle and Dresden from Jonathan later on:)
This is Jonathan being Jonathan in Dresden
Our trip to Dresen will be in the next post cause our food on the plane has arrived.
