Day One in Berlin

Morning can very early today but by 7:30 it was time to be in prayer meeting. We started having these last year and drew such strength and encouragement from these times that we continued them this year. After prayer meeting, we headed to breakfast. Breakfast in Germany - or at least where we are - consists of Bagette rolls, salami type meat and cheese, Nutella (yummy), creamy honey, jams, and peanut butter. You could also get cereal but the milk isn't kept as cold as we are used to. The most important thing about a German breakfast is the coffee!!! It is the best coffee ever - I have at least two cups every morning. Once breakfast had concluded we loaded up our luggage and stuff and headed to Berlin.

Here are a few sights of driving to Berlin and then while in Berlin headed to our hotel called the Transit Lift.

(Love the color of this car!!!)

(We saw a UFO - unit for observation:)

(We learned how everything in the car works)

(We passed OBI!!! - it's actually a hardware store)

(We knew we were in Berlin when we saw the steel and glass lol)

(On top of all the differences in driving in Germany-- you must watch out for the  cyclists. They are everywhere and will driving right past you even if you are trying to turn)

(They have a whole system for the cyclists but we are told only about 1/3 actually follows them)

After we checked into our rooms, Sis Sharon Reeves (an American missionary to Germany for 26yrs) met up with us and took us to lunch at a chicken place. Unfortunately I took no pictures at lunch.
Then we headed to the streets to minister. Sis Sharon is apart of the ontheredbox.com group and its amazing. They street preach about Christ and having a true repentant experience and not just saying a phrase. Today our group just observed and prayed and talked to those we could. It was wonderful to get to see these sisters all work for the Lord. Tomorrow we are supposed to join them with songs, skits, and two minute testimonies.

(Sis Sharon on the Red Box)

(Ann testifying-- she has only been saved for 6 months but God has changed her life and filled her with the Holy Ghost)

(Airmutta- 72 yr old - preaching and will walk up to almost anybody and strike up a conversation)

(Miriam- Sweetest lady and the most demonstrative person I've ever seen give a testimony. Such power and emotion and burden behind her every move and word)

Today was a beginners day - we only went out once to minister for about 2.5 hrs. Tomorrow we will go out twice and Saturday we will possibly be out three times. By this time the group will be ministering.
 Please pray for us.
1) we are all quite nervous to hop up on the box and testify or preach
2) that we would receive strength from the Lord, spiritually and physically and finally
3) that our words will not be given or heard in vain. Pray that those whose hearts God is already working on will show up when we are there to witness to them.

After these we headed to dinner at a food court.
(I had noodles and veggies and chicken and even had a coke cause it's much better over here than in America)

We are now back at the hotel. Showers and then bed in that order will occur and then we will all crash and be ready for the day by 8:30 tomorrow morning.

Have a great remainder of the day!!
Love you all,
Deidre Faye
