Tent Set Up

Today was a busy and hot day. The temperature was in the high 90s and today was the day the church wanted the men to put up the tent. We are getting ready for a week long crusade under the tent here at the Lausitz Center in Hoyeswerda.

The day started early and ended right before midnight. We headed to the field behind the Lausitz Center and started unloading not the trailer. Now I've helped with two or three set ups or tear downs of my uncle Davy's tent but let me explain the difference. There is one difference that explains it all-- organization. What should of taken us only 1-1.5 hours (to put up the tent and get everything inside the tent set up and ready) took us 4 hours and 45 minutes!!! The men were wiped out!!!! Oh well no one tent is the same as is no one organization technique.

We girls helped unload the trailer but were then sent the Lausitz Center to pass out flyers/announcements of the Crisadws going on this week!!! So we didn't get any more pictures of the tent going up but here is the final result.

Then it was time for church under the tent for the first night. They had printed out a little book of all the songs they will sing this week along with English translations to help us out!!! However I and I'm sure others from last year recognized and could remember many of the songs they sang tonight. Tonight Bro Tschapek preached on the Treasure of Heaven (Thats gathered from a Germany sermon with no English translator).  After the service we headed to cold sandwiches and coffee and lemonade.
